Our mission is to educate citizens on how democratic systems have been exploited. We provide specific, actionable, cross-partisan ways to help repair them. That work rests on three things: knowledge you can verify, strength in numbers, and clarity about what each of our teams is for.
Any system of rules can be subverted by those who find and exploit its loopholes — that's what a hack is, in a legislature as much as in a computer. The powerful hack best because they can afford the lawyers, lobbyists, and engineers to find the gaps, and then make the exploit permanent. Unhacking means giving ordinary citizens the same kind of leverage: not a security researcher's skill set, because these exploits happen in public — just the tools to see them and act.
