Our mission is to educate citizens on how democratic systems have been exploited. We provide specific, actionable, cross-partisan ways to help repair them. That work rests on three things: knowledge you can verify, strength in numbers, and clarity about what each of our teams is for.

What this will be In progress
Most civic explainers fail in one of two directions: they either tell you what to think, or they bury the mechanism under so much even-handedness that you finish no better equipped than you started. This aims at the third thing — showing you how a piece of the system actually works, well enough that you can form your own view and act on it.
Each topic is meant to answer three questions in order: what is genuinely settled underneath the argument, what the disagreement is actually about once you strip the slogans off it, and what a citizen can do about it this month.
How it will be built
The same two rules as everything else here. Every factual claim traces to a primary source you can open and check yourself — not a summary of a summary. And the selection of topics leans deliberately toward the places where people who disagree about nearly everything still want the same procedural thing.
