- Nothing you type leaves this browser. No account, no sign-up, no analytics on your answers, nothing stored on a server. Reload the page and it is all gone.
- Everything here teaches you something you keep. We left off anything that was really about signing you up for a position. A campaign push expires in November; knowing how to check a claim doesn’t.
- The guides aren’t ours. They come from Ordinary People, Extraordinary Times. We didn’t write them and we don’t host them — we sorted them and decided which one to hand you.
- That sorting is our opinion. We kept the ones that teach you something you keep, and left off policy asks, pledges and campaign drives — from anyone, ourselves included. That’s about what this page is for, not about whether those things are worth doing. What we left off, and why, is written down in public.
- It doesn’t know where you live yet. Most civic work is local and this first version isn’t, which is a real limit rather than an oversight. It is the next thing we want to fix.
- It doesn’t read what you typed. The last question is for you, not for us — naming the thing that brought you is worth doing on its own, but this version doesn’t pick based on it.
- “Finished it” is your own count. Nobody checks and nobody is told. It is a tally you keep for yourself, in this browser.
